Acceptable use policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

HyperReel makes video ads for real products and services. This policy says what the service may not be used for. It is part of our terms of service and applies to everything you upload, type in or generate.

1. Products and services we do not make ads for

  • Adult content, pornography, escort services and sexually explicit or suggestive material.
  • Gambling, betting, lotteries and real-money gaming.
  • Tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapes and alcohol.
  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and prescription medicines.
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
  • Counterfeit goods, pirated media or software, and products that infringe the rights of others.
  • Cryptocurrencies, tokens, schemes that promise guaranteed returns, multi-level marketing and other get-rich-quick offers.
  • Anything that cannot legally be sold or advertised in India or in the place where the ad will run.

2. Content that is not allowed

  • Real people without their consent. Do not upload photos, voices or names of real persons in order to imitate them, and do not present a generated presenter as a specific real person. No deepfakes, no impersonation.
  • Anything that sexualises or endangers children. We report such material to the authorities.
  • Intimate or sexual images of real people, false documents or false electronic records, and content about making or obtaining explosives, arms or ammunition.
  • Content that is hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene or threatening, that incites violence, or that attacks people because of religion, caste, race, sex, origin or disability.
  • False or misleading advertising: invented test results, fake reviews or testimonials presented as real customers, fake prices or discounts, false claims of scarcity.
  • Health, medical or financial promises, such as cures, guaranteed weight loss or guaranteed income.
  • Political advertising, election campaigning and misinformation about public matters.
  • Material you do not have the rights to: other companies’ logos, photos, music, texts or trade marks.
  • Content that threatens the unity, security or sovereignty of India or public order, or that breaks any law in force.

3. AI labelling

  • Every image, video and voice-over we deliver carries a machine-readable mark that identifies it as AI-generated, or as machine-drawn for drawn title and end cards. Do not remove, alter or hide this mark.
  • Do not present a generated video as a recording of real events or real people. When you publish a video, use the AI disclosure that the platform or the law where you advertise asks for.

4. Use of the service

  • Do not try to get around credit limits, plan limits, the watermark of the free plan or technical safeguards.
  • Do not open several accounts to collect free credits.
  • Do not access the service with scripts or bots, and do not probe, overload or attack it.
  • Do not resell access to the service or share your account outside your business.
  • Do not use the service to build a competing product or to train AI models.

5. What we do about violations

If you do not follow our terms of service or our acceptable use policy, we have the right to refuse or stop a video, to remove the content concerned or block access to it, and to suspend or close your access to the service immediately.

If you use the service to create, change, store or share content in breach of the law, you can be liable to penalty or punishment under the Information Technology Act, 2000 or any other law that applies. Where the law requires an offence to be reported, for example under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, we report it to the authorities.

This applies in particular to AI-generated content that the law prohibits: sexual material involving children, intimate images of a person without consent, obscene or sexually explicit material, false documents or false electronic records, content about making or obtaining explosives, arms or ammunition, and content that falsely shows a real person or a real event in a way likely to deceive. Using the service to create such content can lead to penalty or punishment under laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. It can also lead to:

  • the immediate removal of the content or blocking of access to it;
  • the suspension or closing of your account, while the evidence is kept;
  • as the law allows, us identifying you and disclosing your identity to a person harmed by the content, or to someone acting for them;
  • the reporting of the offence to the authorities where the law requires it.

Where the law requires it, we remove unlawful content and cooperate with the authorities. In serious cases paid amounts are not refunded.

6. Reporting content

If you believe that a video made with HyperReel infringes your rights, shows you without your consent or breaks this policy, write to our grievance officer at grievance@hyperreel.ai and tell us where you saw it. We acknowledge every report within 24 hours. How fast we remove content is set out on the legal disclosures page.
